Mariah Carey ft. Da Brat “4 Real 4 Real”
Mariah Carey has so many hits under her belt, 18 #1 singles to be exact. In 2008, Mariah Carey released her platinum-selling album E=MC2. That album spawned her last #1 single to date “Touch My Body.” It also spawned a song that she recorded titled “4 Real 4 Real”. The song was produced by Jermaine Dupri, and we love the delivery of the lyrics Mariah does. The song also features a rap by Da Brat. Check out down below “4 Real 4 Real”
TLC “Rainbow”
TLC is the BIGGEST SELLING female group of all time, and their catalog is extremely extensive. In 2012, they covered a song called “Rainbow. “Rainbow” is originally a song by a band called – ” L’Arc~en~Ciel.” TLC did a cover of it for a tribute album that’s getting released in Japan. Brandy “Should I Go”
Brandy is known as the “Vocal Bible” in this industry, and if you listen to “Should I Go,” you would know why. “Should I Go” is the last track on her 2004 Gold album Afrodisiac. The song samples the Coldplay track ‘Clocks’. Listen to her harmonies all throughout this song, it will make you just feel so warm inside. Check out the song down below:
Lady Gaga’s “Artpop” debuts at #1 on Billboard!
As expected, Lady Gaga’s third studio album Artpop debuts at #1 on the Billboard charts with 258,000 copies sold. Now, this is a far cry from 2011’s Born This Way which sold 1.1 million copies sold first week. Now, even though she sold BTW for $0.99 with Amazon, she STILL was able to sell over 600,000 copies of that album first week at full-retail prices. So the question is, are people tired of Lady Gaga already? We were expecting Gaga to do at least 500,000 first week. However, this is still a #1 album for her, and the first single reach Top 10 status. She is still pretty relevant. We are not a fan of the song with her and R. Kelly at all, and haven’t heard the album. If you heard the album, let us know your thoughts. Anyway, congrats to you Lady Gaga.

Miley Cyrus is the “it” girl of the moment. Yesterday, I as I was walking past Times Square, there were hundreds of fans waiting for her at her Planet Hollywood album signing. I had no clue she was even going to be there (LOL). Her first single off of Bangerz is still getting a lot of airplay, and various renditions covers are being made. This time as the pop star stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, she did a acapella version with Fallon, and the Roots of her smash single We Can’t Stop. We LOVE this version of the song. Video: Drake “Hold On, We’re Going Home”
Drake gave us one of the biggest treats of the week, his visual for second single “Hold On, We’re Going Home”. The video features rapper A$AP Rocky, and features Drake and his team rescuing a damsel in distress. The video is a mini-movie, and does not see any performance shots of Drake actually singing the song. We love this song here at Supreme Fabulosity, the single is Drake second Top 10 single (currently #9), off of his new album Nothing Was The Same. R&B Godmother Lil Mo (@thelilmoshow) gearing up to release ‘Diva’ single, and new tour! (Details Inside!)
Godmother of R&B, Lil Mo has made 2013, her year! After a successful stint on the R&B Divas spin off: R&B Divas: LA, she is wasting no time getting back to where we first fell in love with Lil Mo, the music. She wrote the theme song for her hit Divas show, and is a fan favorite. There are even talks about her getting her on spinoff show with TV One. In the meantime, Lil Mo is releasing her first single in two years titled I’m A Diva. We believe that it is an extended solo version of the song we hear in the opening credits. The single will be released on next Wed (Sept. 11). If that isn’t enough, she has announced her first tour in years. She will be hitting the road with Ja Rule and friends. We will be attending the show in Miami. We couldn’t be happier for her. We interviewed Lil Mo, 3 years ago, and she told us then, she wasn’t done yet. Lil Mo has had her ups and downs in the industry, and it so great to see her winning again . It’s that time of year! Forbes magazine released their annual Forbes Celebrity 100 List. According to Forbes Magazine, Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara is 2013’s highest paid TV actress. The actress made $30 million in the past year. This includes $175,000 per episode for Modern Family, and the $7 million advance she received for her deal with K-mart. The Forbes Celebrity 100 list looks at the earnings of American celebrities from June 2012 through June 2013 — and counts cash only for projects completed and contracts made good during that time. The list includes earnings of these primetime actresses TV projects, endorsements, and licensing deals. The 20 top-paid TV actresses earned a cumulative $183 million. Sad! Rapper DMX files for bankruptcy! (Details Inside!)
DMX is not having a great week. After just being arrested last week, DMX filed for bankruptcy on Monday, July 29th. According to reports from The Wall Street Journal, the man known as Earl Simmons filed documents stating that he had about $50,000 worth of assets while having debt between $1 and $10 million. DMX justified filing for Chapter 11 by saying it would enable him to reorganize his financial affairs. A lot of the debt DMX is in comes from back child support. he owes a little over a million dollars in child support. Another major part of the debt comes from X leasing cars. He owes $20,000 in car payments, which is crazy for someone who hasn’t had a legit license in a long time.
This is what DMX’s publicist had to say about the ordeal:
“DMX’s financial strains have been inhibiting his career for several years. Poor financial management by prior representation have caused him to be ineligible to retain a passport. The purpose of this bankruptcy filing is for reorganization so he can perform for his fans oversees. We are currently planning a tour in Europe and Africa for the fall of 2013.”
Our hearts go out to DMX here at Supreme Fabulosity. This is a man who has sold 30 million records worldwide. His debut album alone sold 5 million copies worldwide. We pray that the man who had 5 consecutive #1 albums gets his life back on track. We have always loved DMX has a lyricist. DMX latest album Undisputed debuted at #19 on the Billboard 200 with 17,000 copies sold, as far as Jan. 2013, the album has sold 44,000 copies. We wish you the best of luck DMX!
Congrats! Kerry Washington ties the knot w/ San Francisco 49ers Nnamdi Asomugha!!
‘Scandal’ actress Kerry Washington tied the knot on June 24th in Blaine County, Idaho. This is a surprise because no one seemed to know that she was engaged.
E! Online and Us Weekly subsequently confirmed the marriage, with the latter citing records that show Washington and Asomugha filed for a marriage license in Idaho. Washington’s parents reportedly served as witnesses.
“It has been recorded in the Blaine County clerk’s office that Nnamdi Asomugha and Kerry Washington have been married on the 24th of June in the town of Hailey, Idaho,” a representative for the clerk’s office told Us Weekly.
The notoriously private actress and football player have reportedly been dating for one year, since summer 2012. This is the first marriage for Washington, who was previously engaged to actor David Moscow in 2007. Congratulations to the newlyweds.
Congrats to Kanye West & J. Cole for their albums debuting at #1 and #2 on the Billboard charts!
The numbers are in! As expected with very little promotion, Kanye West’s “Yeezus” debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart. “Yeezus” sold 328,000 copies first week. Congratulations is also in order to our friend J. Cole who debuted at #2 with his album “Born Sinner”. “Born Sinner” sold an impressive 297,922 copies this week. There hasn’t been two hip-hop albums occupying the top 2 spots since Kanye West & Nicki Minaj in 2010. J. Cole’s first album debuted at #1 (218,000+ copies) on Billboard, however, it sold less first week than his new album did. Honorable mention goes out to Kelly Rowland. Her 4th studio album “Talk A Good Game” debuted at #4. This is her second Top 5 debut. The album sold 65, 913 copies. This is a big feat. for Kelly because her album has not garnered a hit single. Congratulations to all three artists, and please go out and support their music.
Fat Joe sentenced to federal prison for tax evasion (Details Inside)
Another rapper bites the dust when it comes to the IRS. Fat Joe has been sentenced to four months in federal prison for tax evasion. According to AllHipHop.com, Fat Joe did indeed plead guilty to the charge, however he blamed “fancy guys in bow ties” for mishandling his finances. In addition to his four month sentence, he was fined $15,000, and has one year of supervised release when he gets out of prison. Fat Joe reportedly failed to pay $718,038 in taxes from 2007-2010. He told the judge that he will repay the entire sum. Even though he lives in Miami, he made monies in New Jersey through Terror Squad Production Inc., Miramar Music Touring Inc., and FJTS Corp. He remains free on $250,000 bail, and has to report to prison by August 26th. We wish you the best in this unfortunate situation Fat Joe. More details on the story as it progresses.
‘Full House’ actress Jodie Sweetin files for separation from husband
Actress Jodie Sweetin who rose to fame with the ABC sitcom “Full House” has filed for separation from second husband, Morty Coyle. Jodie has only been married to her husband for 15 months. She got married on March 15, 2013 in Beverly Hills, California.
Sweetin has filed legal documents in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences for the split, according to TMZ.com.
The actress is demanding full custody rights of the pair’s two-year-old daughter, Beatrix, and the family’s Toyota Avalon car.
Sweetin has a five-year-old daughter, Zoie, with second husband Cody Herpin. She was also married to Los Angeles Police officer Shaun Holguin, but that ended in divorce in 2006.
TLC perform medley of hits at the 2013 MTV VMAs Japan!
R&B supergroup TLC have been in Japan for the past week. While in Japan, they were honored with a legend award at the 2013 MTV VMAs Japan. In addition to receiving the award, the also performed a medley of their hits in honor of their 20th anniversary. The songs included in that medley were: Diggin On You, What About Your Friends, Waterfalls, and Unpretty just to name a few. It is so hard to believe that their debuted album came out over 20 years ago. While Destiny’s Child may be the #1 female selling R&B group of all time worldwide, TLC is still the #1 selling R&B female group in the United States with 22 million albums sold here alone. Mariah is back with her lead single/video from her upcoming 14th album. The name of the song is “#Beautiful”. It features Grammy-winning R&B artist Miguel. Mariah was very smart in having Miguel team up with her on this wonderful new record. We love it here at the office. So far the record is looking to be a smash hit. Her first hit in 3 years. The video premiered on American Idol and we love it. Miguel is really doing his thing. We can’t wait to see what he cooked up with Beyonce in the studio. Check out the video!!

Congratulations to two of the top DJs in the music industry. Cast of R&B Divas: LA have been announced! (Details Inside)
TV One’s hit show “R&B Divas” follows the lives of Faith Evan, Keke Wyatt, Nicci Gilbert, Monifah, and Syleena Johnson. The show was such a success for TV One that have decided to do a spinoff to it titled “R&B Divas: LA”. The cast members of this spinoff are friend to our website, R&B powerhouse Lil Mo, former City High member Claudette Ortiz, Chante Moore, Kelly Price, Michel’le, and En Vogue’s Dawn Robinson. This should make for an interesting reality show. We love these women together. Friend to the website, Lil Mo, just moved out to Los Angeles earlier this month. They have already started filming the season. Stay tuned for more updates on the show, and a premiere date. Congrats ladies, we will be watching.
R&B singer Lil’ Mo heads to Hollywood! (Deets inside!)
R&B powerhouse Lil’ Mo has made an announcement that she is moving to Hollywood. The ‘Wave Ya Flag’ songstress followed that press release with a snippet into what appears to be a new reality show. In the clip (which you can watch below), you see Lil’ Mo take on Hollywood full force. She interacts with fans, potential new business partners, and also deals with the stress of trying to fit in the Hollywood scene as well as balance family life. In one particular scene she states that she is “a little bit ratchet” and doesn’t know if Hollywood is ready for it. In another scene, she is told that she needs to change her physical appearance. She is asked to change her hair color, and drop weight (watch for her reaction…lol). This is a great look for Lil Mo. If you think that wasn’t enough, she is also looking for 25 women to go Hollywood with her to focus on their dreams as well. We have always felt that she deserves to be on television. She has so much to still offer the world. New Song: J. Cole “Miss America” (Listen + Review Inside)
Grammy-nominated rapper J. Cole is back with the lead single off of his upcoming sophmore album Born Sinner (release date: 01/13/13). The name of the song is “Miss America”. The song has very controversisal lyrics. J. Cole says at the end of the song “they will never play this shit on the radio”. However, radio needs a song like this, the song is amazing, and talks about real issues. J. Cole is one of the most talented lyricists out there in the game right now. J. Cole’s Roc Nation debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200. The album sold 218,000 copies first week, and certified Gold with 600,000+ copies sold. That album also garnerd him a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. So there is no doubt in our mind that ths time around, J.Cole will have even more success. Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson finally files for divorce from Evelyn Lozada!
What has been one of the shortest marriages in Hollywood history, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson filed for divorce from Evelyn Lozada. What seemed like a match made in heaven as being everything but that. Last month, a report came out about Chad head-butting Evelyn Lozada in a domestic dispute. Allegedly, Evelyn wanted to get a divorce right away, however, Chad refused to sign the divorce papers. Today, Chad was officially charged for the incident, and finally sent in the divorce paper work citing their marriage is “irretrievably broken”.
Chad also asked the judge to block Evelyn’s request for him to pay her legal fees due to the fact that they do have a prenuptial agreement. This is going to make for great TV when it comes to the next season of “Basketball Wives”.

Noticeably absent from the tracklisting is her duet with Monica “It All Belongs To Me”. Could it be the fact that the track completely bombed at radio, despite the fact that they performed it numerous times?! The only guest feature is Chris Brown. He even has writer’s credit on another track on her new album. The question is…will you be LEGALLY buying the album, we will!!
Brandy’s second single off of her upcoming “2/11” album is…..
…a song titled “Wildest Dreams”. Brandy describes the song as having a “hard 90s beat with a Mary J. knock”. Brandy’s current first official single “Put It Down” featuring Chris Brown is steadily climbing up the charts. It is currently sitting at #22 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart. The video premiered a week ago, and already has over 4 million views on Vevo. Brandy seems to not be playing around this album. She knows that after two albums in a row that did not sell well, this is do or die. Brandy hasn’t had a hit song since 2002’s single “Full Moon”. That is over 10 years ago. We cannot wait to hear this project in its entirety. Brandy’s 6th studio album “2/11” will be released on October 16th.
Congrats! R&B singer Lil Mo gives birth to a baby boy!!
R&B powerhouse Lil Mo, and her husband Phillip Bryant just welcomed a newborn baby into their family. Jonah Maddox-Phillip Bryant was born on July 10th, 2012 and weighed 8lbs. 6oz. This is what the happy couple had to say about the birth of their new baby:
Brandy and Chris Brown shoot “Put It Down” video (Pics Inside!!)
Brandy has finally shot her first music video in almost four years. In the picture above you can see that Brandy is back to rocking her signature braids which helped her become famous in the first place . I wonder will she rocking those braids when she sings the line “I gotta go old school wit it sometimes/still keep it so/2012…” We will see. Chris Brown is also featured in the video. The creative director/choreographer of the video is the legendary Frank Gatson (Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, etc.) So we are expecting a dance heavy video. The video is supposed to drop sometime this month, with her album Two Eleven dropping on August 28th. Currently, the song has peaked at #54 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart, and has been released since May. Hopefully, once the visual is released, and with some live performances, she can get her first big hit in 10 years since the single “Full Moon”. We are rooting for you Brandy. Beyonce made a triumphant return to the stage in Atlantic City!! (Videos Inside)
The return of Beyonce happened last night (May 25th) at Revels Resort & Casino in Atlantic City. The last time the world saw Beyonce perform live was at last year’s VMAs which was 8 months ago. This is the first time Beyonce has performed since giving birth to Blue Ivy. Many were wondering for a woman who RARELY takes a break, can she still rock the crowd as if she never left. The answer is….YES!!! Beyonce killed it last night. She even did a tribute to Whitney Houston, singing “I Will Always Love You’, and to Lauryn Hill, singing “X-Factor”. The sold out show took months to prepare, as she chronicled in her 2 part behind the scenes documentary. Last night, was the first night of four nights, May 25-28th.
