Mariah Carey ft. Da Brat “4 Real 4 Real”
Mariah Carey has so many hits under her belt, 18 #1 singles to be exact. In 2008, Mariah Carey released her platinum-selling album E=MC2. That album spawned her last #1 single to date “Touch My Body.” It also spawned a song that she recorded titled “4 Real 4 Real”. The song was produced by Jermaine Dupri, and we love the delivery of the lyrics Mariah does. The song also features a rap by Da Brat. Check out down below “4 Real 4 Real”
TLC “Rainbow”
TLC is the BIGGEST SELLING female group of all time, and their catalog is extremely extensive. In 2012, they covered a song called “Rainbow. “Rainbow” is originally a song by a band called – ” L’Arc~en~Ciel.” TLC did a cover of it for a tribute album that’s getting released in Japan. Brandy “Should I Go”
Brandy is known as the “Vocal Bible” in this industry, and if you listen to “Should I Go,” you would know why. “Should I Go” is the last track on her 2004 Gold album Afrodisiac. The song samples the Coldplay track ‘Clocks’. Listen to her harmonies all throughout this song, it will make you just feel so warm inside. Check out the song down below:
Lady Gaga’s “Artpop” debuts at #1 on Billboard!
As expected, Lady Gaga’s third studio album Artpop debuts at #1 on the Billboard charts with 258,000 copies sold. Now, this is a far cry from 2011’s Born This Way which sold 1.1 million copies sold first week. Now, even though she sold BTW for $0.99 with Amazon, she STILL was able to sell over 600,000 copies of that album first week at full-retail prices. So the question is, are people tired of Lady Gaga already? We were expecting Gaga to do at least 500,000 first week. However, this is still a #1 album for her, and the first single reach Top 10 status. She is still pretty relevant. We are not a fan of the song with her and R. Kelly at all, and haven’t heard the album. If you heard the album, let us know your thoughts. Anyway, congrats to you Lady Gaga.

Miley Cyrus is the “it” girl of the moment. Yesterday, I as I was walking past Times Square, there were hundreds of fans waiting for her at her Planet Hollywood album signing. I had no clue she was even going to be there (LOL). Her first single off of Bangerz is still getting a lot of airplay, and various renditions covers are being made. This time as the pop star stopped by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, she did a acapella version with Fallon, and the Roots of her smash single We Can’t Stop. We LOVE this version of the song. Video: Drake “Hold On, We’re Going Home”
Drake gave us one of the biggest treats of the week, his visual for second single “Hold On, We’re Going Home”. The video features rapper A$AP Rocky, and features Drake and his team rescuing a damsel in distress. The video is a mini-movie, and does not see any performance shots of Drake actually singing the song. We love this song here at Supreme Fabulosity, the single is Drake second Top 10 single (currently #9), off of his new album Nothing Was The Same. R&B Godmother Lil Mo (@thelilmoshow) gearing up to release ‘Diva’ single, and new tour! (Details Inside!)
Godmother of R&B, Lil Mo has made 2013, her year! After a successful stint on the R&B Divas spin off: R&B Divas: LA, she is wasting no time getting back to where we first fell in love with Lil Mo, the music. She wrote the theme song for her hit Divas show, and is a fan favorite. There are even talks about her getting her on spinoff show with TV One. In the meantime, Lil Mo is releasing her first single in two years titled I’m A Diva. We believe that it is an extended solo version of the song we hear in the opening credits. The single will be released on next Wed (Sept. 11). If that isn’t enough, she has announced her first tour in years. She will be hitting the road with Ja Rule and friends. We will be attending the show in Miami. We couldn’t be happier for her. We interviewed Lil Mo, 3 years ago, and she told us then, she wasn’t done yet. Lil Mo has had her ups and downs in the industry, and it so great to see her winning again . Which “Modern Family” actress is the highest actress paid in televison for 2013? (Details Inside!)

It’s that time of year! Forbes magazine released their annual Forbes Celebrity 100 List. According to Forbes Magazine, Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara is 2013’s highest paid TV actress. The actress made $30 million in the past year. This includes $175,000 per episode for Modern Family, and the $7 million advance she received for her deal with K-mart. The Forbes Celebrity 100 list looks at the earnings of American celebrities from June 2012 through June 2013 — and counts cash only for projects completed and contracts made good during that time. The list includes earnings of these primetime actresses TV projects, endorsements, and licensing deals. The 20 top-paid TV actresses earned a cumulative $183 million. Sad! Rapper DMX files for bankruptcy! (Details Inside!)
DMX is not having a great week. After just being arrested last week, DMX filed for bankruptcy on Monday, July 29th. According to reports from The Wall Street Journal, the man known as Earl Simmons filed documents stating that he had about $50,000 worth of assets while having debt between $1 and $10 million. DMX justified filing for Chapter 11 by saying it would enable him to reorganize his financial affairs. A lot of the debt DMX is in comes from back child support. he owes a little over a million dollars in child support. Another major part of the debt comes from X leasing cars. He owes $20,000 in car payments, which is crazy for someone who hasn’t had a legit license in a long time.
This is what DMX’s publicist had to say about the ordeal:
“DMX’s financial strains have been inhibiting his career for several years. Poor financial management by prior representation have caused him to be ineligible to retain a passport. The purpose of this bankruptcy filing is for reorganization so he can perform for his fans oversees. We are currently planning a tour in Europe and Africa for the fall of 2013.”
Our hearts go out to DMX here at Supreme Fabulosity. This is a man who has sold 30 million records worldwide. His debut album alone sold 5 million copies worldwide. We pray that the man who had 5 consecutive #1 albums gets his life back on track. We have always loved DMX has a lyricist. DMX latest album Undisputed debuted at #19 on the Billboard 200 with 17,000 copies sold, as far as Jan. 2013, the album has sold 44,000 copies. We wish you the best of luck DMX!
Congrats! Kerry Washington ties the knot w/ San Francisco 49ers Nnamdi Asomugha!!
‘Scandal’ actress Kerry Washington tied the knot on June 24th in Blaine County, Idaho. This is a surprise because no one seemed to know that she was engaged.
E! Online and Us Weekly subsequently confirmed the marriage, with the latter citing records that show Washington and Asomugha filed for a marriage license in Idaho. Washington’s parents reportedly served as witnesses.
“It has been recorded in the Blaine County clerk’s office that Nnamdi Asomugha and Kerry Washington have been married on the 24th of June in the town of Hailey, Idaho,” a representative for the clerk’s office told Us Weekly.
The notoriously private actress and football player have reportedly been dating for one year, since summer 2012. This is the first marriage for Washington, who was previously engaged to actor David Moscow in 2007. Congratulations to the newlyweds.
Fat Joe sentenced to federal prison for tax evasion (Details Inside)
Another rapper bites the dust when it comes to the IRS. Fat Joe has been sentenced to four months in federal prison for tax evasion. According to AllHipHop.com, Fat Joe did indeed plead guilty to the charge, however he blamed “fancy guys in bow ties” for mishandling his finances. In addition to his four month sentence, he was fined $15,000, and has one year of supervised release when he gets out of prison. Fat Joe reportedly failed to pay $718,038 in taxes from 2007-2010. He told the judge that he will repay the entire sum. Even though he lives in Miami, he made monies in New Jersey through Terror Squad Production Inc., Miramar Music Touring Inc., and FJTS Corp. He remains free on $250,000 bail, and has to report to prison by August 26th. We wish you the best in this unfortunate situation Fat Joe. More details on the story as it progresses.
TLC perform medley of hits at the 2013 MTV VMAs Japan!
R&B supergroup TLC have been in Japan for the past week. While in Japan, they were honored with a legend award at the 2013 MTV VMAs Japan. In addition to receiving the award, the also performed a medley of their hits in honor of their 20th anniversary. The songs included in that medley were: Diggin On You, What About Your Friends, Waterfalls, and Unpretty just to name a few. It is so hard to believe that their debuted album came out over 20 years ago. While Destiny’s Child may be the #1 female selling R&B group of all time worldwide, TLC is still the #1 selling R&B female group in the United States with 22 million albums sold here alone. Brandy and Chris Brown shoot “Put It Down” video (Pics Inside!!)
Brandy has finally shot her first music video in almost four years. In the picture above you can see that Brandy is back to rocking her signature braids which helped her become famous in the first place . I wonder will she rocking those braids when she sings the line “I gotta go old school wit it sometimes/still keep it so/2012…” We will see. Chris Brown is also featured in the video. The creative director/choreographer of the video is the legendary Frank Gatson (Beyonce, Destiny’s Child, etc.) So we are expecting a dance heavy video. The video is supposed to drop sometime this month, with her album Two Eleven dropping on August 28th. Currently, the song has peaked at #54 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart, and has been released since May. Hopefully, once the visual is released, and with some live performances, she can get her first big hit in 10 years since the single “Full Moon”. We are rooting for you Brandy.
