TLC is back! They have just released their new song “Meant To Be” which was written by Neyo.  This is the first new song from TLC since 2005’s “I Bet”.  The song is the only new song featured on their retrospective album 20 which is out in stores on Oct. 15th.  The album coincides with the release of their Vh-1 biopic: Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story which premieres Oct. 21st.  Meant To Be sounds like classic TLC. The song is a heartfelt track.  It sounds as if TLC is singing all of their background vocals, and additional background vocals with Neyo. We like the track and cannot wait to hear their new full-length studio album. We are not sure if there will be a visual for the song, but at least we have new material to listen to.  TLC has been making headlines all this year.  First, they were honored by MTV Japan, Vh-1 mixtape festival, Drake brought them out during is OVO Fest, collaborating with J. Cole on a hit single, and now the movie.  Check out the song Meant To Be down below and let us know what you think:

TLC releases official tracklist/cover for anniversary album due out Oct. 15th.

It seems like it has been forever since TLC has released something in the US, and it has. The last release from TLC was 2005’s Now and Forever: The Hits. Now, 8 years later, comes TLC anniversary album 20, and here is the tracklist for the album:

Now, I am sure that TLC fans are upset at this list due to the fact that there is only one new song on the tracklist.  That song is “Meant to Be” which was written by Neyo.  However, TLC fans, DO NOT fret.  TLC has just confirmed that they are in the studio working on a full-length studio album due out in 2014.  Some of the collaborators for that album have been Lady Gaga, Drake, Neyo, Dallas Austin, and J. Cole just announced that he is also contributing to their new studio album.  We are excited about the J. Cole collaboration.  TLC’s first time collaborating with J. Cole is on his hit song “Crooked Smile” which is currently sitting at #36 on the Hot 100 (Billboard).  This is the first Top 40 hit for TLC since 2002’s “Girl Talk”.  We believe that a TLC comeback is in full effect.

Don’t forget to catch the TLC biopic on Vh-1 premiering October 21st!

New Song: J. Cole “Miss America” (Listen + Review Inside)

Grammy-nominated rapper J. Cole is back with the lead single off of his upcoming sophmore album Born Sinner (release date: 01/13/13). The name of the song is “Miss America”.  The song has very controversisal lyrics.   J. Cole says at the end of the song “they will never play this shit on the radio”.  However, radio needs a song like this, the song is amazing, and talks about real issues.  J. Cole is one of the most talented lyricists out there in the game right now.  J. Cole’s Roc Nation debut album Cole World: The Sideline Story debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200.  The album sold 218,000 copies first week, and certified Gold with 600,000+ copies sold. That album also garnerd him a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. So there is no doubt in our mind that ths time around, J.Cole will have even more success.  Check out his new single “Miss America” down below and let us know what you think:

Really??!!! Diggy vs. J.Cole (What’s the beef about?)

So apparently the rap world is buzzing about Diggy taking shots at rapper J. Cole.  The reason why Diggy is firing at J. Cole is because of some comments J. Cole has made about Diggy’s sister Vanessa.  According to reports at MTV,

On the 2010 track Jermaine describes a sexual encounter with a preacher’s daughter, widely speculated to be in reference to Diggy’s sister Vanessa Simmons.Cole also name dropped Vanessa on “Grew Up Fast” a song he released in February after he reached two million Twitter followers. “What up Vanessa? I loved ya that one semester,” he spit after he rhymed, “You n—as is not Russell, you’re more Diggy/ Me I’m more Biggie.” To his credit, J. Cole did clean up the insult later in the song saying that he didn’t mean to dis Diggy, he was simply rapping.

Whatever the case, Diggy clearly felt the sing and addressed it directly on his new song. “The other day I was listening to ‘Purple Rain’/ Couldn’t believe all of the things I heard him say,” Diggy spits on “What You Say to Me.” The 17-year old Simmons continues with “Who Dat, who dat? You know who it is/ Heard you lying on my sis, tellin’ people that you hit/ When ya album drops, I’ma hit you with your brick/ So I’ma bomb first on you since you wanna riff.”

Whatever the case may be the beef seems real stupid to us here at Supreme Fabulosity.  If J. Cole did indeed sleep with Vanessa Simmons, he should have just kept his mouth shut. It was very classless to insinuate or allude to the fact of anything.  We are kind of surprised with the heat Diggy is trying to throw Cole’s way.  However, if a rap beef is to be started between the two. We believe that J. Cole will molly whop all over Diggy.  He is already winning anyways. Diggy’s first week sales 23,000…enough said!

Video Premiere: Beyonce featuring J. Cole “Party”

The video is finally here for Beyonce’s song “Party”.  The track is produced by Kanye West, and the video is nostalgic.  The video takes you back to the 1990s with a huge house party taking place throughout the whole video.  Beyonce also incorporated past photos shoots that she had in the video as well.  Look for cameos from Solange, and Kelly Rowland.  We LOVE the video, check it out down below and let us know what you think:

Sneak Peek: Beyonce “Party” ft. J. Cole (Official Video)

Beyonce is once again blessing us with another visual from her latest offering, the album 4.  The latest song to get the treatment is “Party”. On the album version, rapper Andre 3000 makes a guest appearance.  However, the single version replaces Andre 3000 with Roc Nation’s own J. Cole.  Now J. Cole is making waves in the industry right now, but he is no match for the verse that Andre 3000 rapped on the original.  According to an inside source, the reason why Andre 3000 was taking off the song was because of legal clearances.  Well, here is a 30-second teaser to the video which features cameos by Solange, and Kelly Rowland. The teaser premiered on 106 & Park yesterday. The rest of the video is premiere sometime later today.  Check it out below:
